Biography of Rie Goushi Fine Art Photography

Born in Tokyo raised in Japan, but was raised on a western and Japanese culture so Rie Goushi grew up in a mixed community.

Rie Goushi was born to a Photographer father and a devotee of the classical music mother.
She has a brother Motoharu Goushi is also a photographer.
When she was 13, she went a cramming school, took a lesson in painting for 6 years.
She attended Tokyo Polytechnic university graduate studies in photography and applied science.
She participated in art a party for while a student.
After graduate the university,working at commercial design company include textile design since a few decades.
She also attended a competition art society, had group show and exhibited solo show.
She is a member of The Japan Society for Arts and History of Photography.


東京都出身。
写真家の父とクラシック音楽愛好家の母の間に生まれる。
１３歳より６年間、絵画研究所に通いデッサンと油彩画を学ぶ。高校時代には油彩画に加えて基本的なデザインを学ぶ。
東京工芸大学に入学し写真技術を専攻する、同大学卒業。
在学時より他美術大学とコラボレーション制作及び、グループ展に参加する。
卒業後はデザイン会社で働きながらビジュアルアートを公募展グループ展、個展で発表。
２００３年より写真作家として活動に専念する。
